Everywoman's Health Centre
July 21, 1993

Dear Members:

The Board of the Everywoman's Health Centre Society(1988) calls you to a CONTINUATION of the 1993 AGM, TUESDAY, AUGUST IOTH, 1993 AT 7:00 PM at the Holiday Inn - Centre, 711 West Broadway, Vancouver.

As per the AGM of June 9th, 1993, a motion to continue the AGM was passed as there were no members willing to stand for election to the Board of Directors. The members that attended this meeting agreed to strike a Nominating Committee with a mandate to recruit nominations to the Board, and to re-convene in two months time, with the elections as the primary agenda item.

The Nominating Committee has worked very hard and has successfully recruited a number of candidates, both past board members and new volunteers, and elections will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 1993.

There are currently 246 registered members, 1 new member, and 155 lapsed members. Lapsed members have not been renewed since 92/07 and new members received after July 10/93 will not be eligible to vote as per the current EHC By-Laws. Less than 50 members attended the June 9th meeting, most of which were Staff and past Board members. You attendance is vital. There will be no voting by proxy.

Included in this package are short biographies of Board nominees outlining their experience and skills. Two Notice of Motions have been received by the outgoing Board and notes regarding each are also included.

IF YOU WANT THIS CLINIC TO CONTINUE TO EXIST AS IT CURRENTLY DOES, THEN THE RESPONSIBILITY IS YOURS TO DULY ELECT A CAPABLE TEAM OF WOMEN TO SIT ON THE BOARD, THEREFORE YOU MUST SHOW UP AND VOTE!

The Challenge is not over yet..... see you on the 10th

Anne Hamilton
Board of Directors '92/93

N.B. please bring this with you to the August 10th meeting. The agenda is on the flip side.
